So my song that I titled "Where Are We?" got a really good review from Butterbees, and I've listened to a lot of his songs which I really liked so that's pretty cool.

At one point I wanted to compose Beepbox songs that were meant to tell a story, kind of like how he has his songs centered around an idea for a game.

I never really fleshed out any kind of plot beyond Critical Damage (On Impact) and Chie, though.

so yeah that's about it (I did write a sonnet today but I'll put that in a separate news post because it's entirely unrelated to this.)

So earlier today, I composed this song that I titled Oblivion. I honestly think it's my favorite composition so far, I think the main melody really captures a feeling of somber solitude.

I'm thinking about putting a story behind some newer releases. For Oblivion, here's what I had in mind:

The main character, some sort of robot, sits in some kind of destroyed hallway thing, looking at a flickering light above and singing her motif to herself. At one point she stops to listen to the hum of the light, before it flickers off and the only sound is her own internal mechanisms. Then the light flickers back on, and she reminisces about better times when she wasn't so alone and surrounded by destruction, before humming out her motif again.

Hopefully I can make this some kind of little series. I love the slight muted sound of the frequency I ended up with for the main melody. I think said melody kinda sounds like something ButterBees might make.

So do you know how I released a few songs I wrote and recorded myself singing?

Well, I shared the previously untitled, now titled "I'll Always Be", song with a friend named Catalina and after some unrelenting eagerness to discover my crush she figured it out.

Probably for the best, she's the first person to know that could have a hand in the relation. I could have gone on alone in my thoughts, but it's probably better this way.

and I can definitely trust her, that's not a concern

Anyway, what're y'all's experiences in such matters as this?

I've been really busy with school starting back up again, working on getting my driver's permit, and cross country, so I haven't really been doing much. I did start the following BeepBox composition last week or so, though. Haven't gotten the chance to finish it yet.

It was some more playing around with the frequency thing.

So I own a guitar, but I haven't played it much until today when I finally decided to pick the thing up and start playing it. I want to record myself playing guitar, and I did find an audio recorder on the computer, but I played too loudly for it to sound good. I'll try a few things, see if I can work it out.

Edit (again): I've been practicing a bit for the past few days and I think I sound a lot better. I put the capo on the second fret and ended up preferring it that way, and I think I've been playing a bit slower to give myself a bit more time to switch my fingering between chords.

I run cross country and track, I'm a Christian, and I'm a speedcuber. I used to play the mobile games Arcane Legends (Driasapaba), Guardian Tales (SirIgnotus), and Geometry Dash (Soapy_guy or SirIgnotus, not sure which) but I don't anymore. I mostly play Minecraft on my Nintendo Switch now, although today has been BeepBox and Newgrounds pretty much all day :)
